What is Fire Protection Valve?

Fire firefighting valves are designed as an active fire protection & sprinkler systems. Valves also used for others water work & flow control systems. Read More

OS & Y Gate Valve

FIFFCO UL Listed OS & Y Gate Valve commonly used to control water flow to fire sprinkler systems. OS&Y means “outside stem and yoke” or “outside screw and yoke”. OS & Y gate valves operate by opening and closing via a gate, which lowers into or rises out of the valve. Raising the gate allows water to flow through the valve while lowering the gate cuts off the water flowing through the valve. When fully open, the typical gate valve has no obstruction in the flow path, resulting in very low friction loss.

Check or Non Return Valve

FIFFCO UL Listed Check Valve, also known as a non-return valve, or one-way valve, is used to allow water to flow through it in only one direction. A hinged clapper remains open with water flowing in one direction and automatically closes when the flow stops preventing backflow. The removable cover allows easy access for inspection and maintenance. These valves are suitable for installation in both horizontal and vertical (with the flow upwards) pipelines.

Butterfly Valve

FIFFCO UL Listed Supervisory Switch Butterfly Valves are produced for separating the zones and acting like control valves. In fire protection systems, valves have to can be monitored. They are provided with a hand wheel mounted on the shaft that communicates with the gearbox for positioning. This way, users can have information about automation systems and improved equipment in order to see easily the valve body. It is suitable for use indoor or outdoors.

Y Type Strainer

FIFFCO UL Listed Strainers filter out the dirt, rust, and other debris in the water flow protecting the valves and other equipment in the piping system. All strainers are equipped with a flanged retainer cap which allows easy access to the stainless steel screen for cleaning. FIFFCO UL Listed Strainer should be installed horizontally with the cap facing downwards with access to remove the basket/screen.

Foot Valve

FIFFCO Foot Valve, also known as a check valve, is a low-pressure flat valve. Its role is to ensure that the liquid flows unidirectionally in the suction pipeline to make the pump work normally. When the pump is temporarily interrupted for a short time, the liquid cannot return to the water source tank to ensure water absorption The tube is filled with liquid to facilitate pump startup.

Expansion Joint

Check valves are generally installed in pipelines to prevent backflow. A check valve is basically a one-way valve, in which the flow can run freely one way, but if the flow turns the valve will close to protect the piping, other valves, pumps, etc. If the flow turns and no check valve is installed, a water hammer can occur. Water hammers often occur with extreme force and will easily damage a pipeline or components.

Check valves are used in many different applications. For example, they are often placed on the outlet side of a pump, to protect the pump from backflow. Centrifugal pumps, the most common type of water pumps, are not self-priming, and therefore check valves are essential for keeping water in the pipes.

Globe Valve

FIFFCO Globe Valve is a linear motion valve used to stop, start, and regulate fluid flow. The globe valve is used for throttling flow control. The globe valve is an excellent valve to use in the high-pressure operation of steam.

Auto air release valve

FIFFCO Air Release Valves are designed to vent entrained air that collects at high points in a pipeline. This valve continuously eliminates air from a system by releasing small quantities of air before large air pocket can occur in the system.

Alarm Check Valve

The alarm check valve is a water flow alarm device designed for vertical installation in the main supply to a wet pipe sprinkler system. When a flow of water from the system equals or exceeds that of a single sprinkler, the valve is to actuate a fire alarm External bypass prevents false alarm under all supply pressure condition.
Alarm Check Valve serves as a check valve by trapping pressurized water above the clapper and preventing reverse flow from sprinkler piping. The valve is designed to initiate an alarm during a sustained flow of water (such as the flow required by an open sprinkler) by operating an optional water motor alarm and/or alarm pressure switch.Alarm Valve is a double seated clapper check valve with grooved seat design, which ensures positive water flow for alarm operation and is designed for installation in wet pipe sprinkler system. External bypass prevents false alarm under all supply pressure condition. In the event of variable pressure condition, false alarms are prevented with the provision of retard chamber, thus the design allows for installation under both variable and constant supply pressure condition. Operation of one or more automatic fire sprinklers, the water flows into the sprinkler system and the alarm valve opens, allowing continuous flow of water into the system and transmittal of alarm, both electrical and mechanical.

Waste Cone

Waste cone provides quick-and-easy visual confirmation of proper water flow. Two sight glasses extending from the center allow users to observe the flow and ensure that fire pump pressure relief valve is working correctly.

DELUGE VALVE

Deluge systems deliver large quantities of water, over a large area, in a relatively short period of time. Deluge valve is one type of system control valve in a deluge system. Deluge Valve is a quick release, hydraulically operated diaphragm valve. It is used for fast application of water in a spray system. This type of valve preserves applications in the zones like industrial application, storage tanks, conveyor protection, power transformer installation, etc. Additional extension of foaming agent deluge valve can be deployed to inflammable liquid fire and aircraft hang

Double Door Wafer Check Valve

PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE

Adjust and control the outlet pressure of the master valve. The said pressure will not be changed along with the change with the inlet pressure, neither along with the change of the flow on the master valve outlet. Applicable for the living water supply, fire fighting system and industrial water supply system.

PRESSURE RELiEF VALVE

This valve is used for the high building fire fighting system. When the pressure in the water supply pipeline is over the one set for pressure relieving, the pressure relieving valve is opened to prevent both pipeline and equipment from getting damaged due to an excessive pressure; and, when the said pressure lowers to the set value, this valve will be closed automatically.

The body uses full-channel streamline design, leaving a small fluid resistance and a great flow. This valve can be used as a pressure relieving valve and also a pressure holding valve. When used as the former, it can relieve the pressure in the water pipe over the safety value set for the pilot valve and keep the pressure in the pipe below the safety value to prevent the system from getting danger due to an excessive water pressure; and, as the latter, it can keep the master valve upstream water supply pressure over a certain set value to make the water supply to the downstream only available when the upstream pressure is higher than the set value so as to ensure the master valve upstream water supply pressure.

Ball Valve

Fiffco Ball Valve is a kind of quarter-turn valve, and it uses a hollow and pivoting ball to control flow. What is Foam Suppression Systems?

Foam fire suppression systems are an option for fire protection in some areas where water is not an option as clean agent. The foam used for fire suppression has three components. Foam concentrate, water, and air combine together to create foam. When the suppression system is triggered, it releases a blanket of foam. Fires are extinguished by a combination of cooling and smothering of the flames. The foam also traps flammable vapors that could possibly ignite.

Foam RATIO CONTROLLER

Ratio Controller is used to produce constant preset foam solution in pressure proportioning systems. It is designed to inject automatically the correct quantity of foam concentrate into a water stream over a wide flow rates by balancing the pressure of the foam concentrate with that of the water supply.

FOAM BLADDER TANK

Bladder Tank is designed to inject foam concentrate into the water supply of a fire protection system. During operation the foam concentrate is discharged from the tank by the water supply, collapsing the bladder around a perforated center tube until the concentrate is depleted.

FIRE MONITORS

Fire monitors are designed to accommodate foam which has been injected in the upstream piping. It is durable manual controlled low profile monitor for fixed installation as well as trailer mounted unit.

FOAM GENERATOR

INLINE FOAM INDUCTOR

Inline Foam Inductor is to induct the foam liquid concentrate in water stream to supply proportioned solution of the liquid concentrate and water, to the foam producing equipment. Each Inductor is designed for a pre-determined water to give the correct proportioning at that pressure and discharge rate. The increase or decrease of the inlet pressure will result in an increase or decrease in the flow rate, which in turn will change the proportioning.

AIR FOAM WATER SPRINKLER

A foam water sprinkler is an air-aspirating discharge outlet used in the deluge foam system to protect the risk where foam is required to be applied from overhead sprinklers. It protects the loading and unloading area in the event of a spill fire with low-expansion foam systems. These are useful in other wide applications i.e. air craft hangers, warehousing.

AIR FOAM NOZZLE
